Breast Cancer Nail Art Designs – October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Many people are aware of breast cancer, but many forget to take the step to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stage. Did you know that 1 out of 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer? But its its detected early, the 5 year survival rate is 100%. I’m going to show you how I do this nail design and if you like it, please wear it on your nails too to show your support and spread the words.
First, put on a base coat to protect your natural nails and to help your design to last longer. For your thumb, index finger and pinky, paint a pink color on your whole nails, don’t forget to seal the edge too. I put a tiny amount of top coat on the nail with a toothpick, then I added a cute little heart shape stud on top for the middle finger. I painted the whole nail white color, then on a piece of plastic, draw a little pink ribbon with a detail brush. Start by drawing the outline of the ribbon and don’t connect the two sides so it looks like they are overlapping. Then carefully touch up the design I used a top coat to drown the ribbon, like literally once it is dry, carefully peel it off trim off the excess. I added a bit of shimmer to my nail, then I placed the ribbon on top carefully, press it down with your nails, clean the cuticle with nail polish remover and an angle brush. For the ring finger, I used a holographic shimmery nail polish. We’re nearly there, just add a good layer of top coat to seal your design so it can last longer.
And there you have it! I hope you like this design, but most importantly for all the ladies out there, remember to schedule your clinical breast exam.
